Boat Ramp at El Dorado Beach on Hwy 50 at Lakeview Ave.

The boat ramp is open year-round depending on accessibility. This is determined by the lake’s water level.

***THE BOAT RAMP IS CLOSED DUE TO LOW LAKE LEVELS.***

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LAUNCH YOUR BOAT - THANK-YOU.

Rates: 

  • Day Use $13.00
  • Commercial Day Use: $35.00
  • Annual Pass: $125.00
  • Commercial Annual Pass: $365.00

El Dorado Beach and Boat Ramp is the largest beach area in South Lake Tahoe, it is the place to go for large picnics, launching your boat, renting a kayak or water toy, viewing the lake, or simply to relax. Highlights of this facility include:

  • Large turf area, perfect for throwing out a blanket
  • Large picnic area, includes tables and barbeque pits
  • Boat launch with floating dock (fee)
  • Kayak and water toy concession
  • Swim area, roped and buoyed (no lifeguard)
  • Bike trail
  • Restroom
  • Two parking lots
