Explore Tahoe Winter Speaker Series continues on January 14, 2010 at 6pm. Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Executive Director Cheryl Milham tells the heartwarming story of an orphaned bear cub severely burned in a forest fire. The cub was rescued by a firefighter and brought to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care where it was rehabilitated before being returned to the wild. The book "Saving Lil Smokey" will be available for sale along with a photo DVD of the cubs remarkable journey. This event is FREE and refreshments will be provided.
